Activity Description

The ENT department is a very active and has been refreshed with new outstanding senior physicians. The department has been declared for full residency in ENT by the Israel medical council.

The medical staff performs most of the surgical procedures including thyroidectomy' parathyroidectomy, surgery of the salivary glands, resection of vocal cords nodules and malignant tumors and neck dissection. Patients with periorbital infection and mastoiditis are admitted to the department for intravenous treatment. The medical staff works side by side with the endocrinologist, the maxillofacial team and the plastic surgeons when operating on the thyroid gland, tumors of the tongue and tumors invading the face.

We use new devices for endoscopic visualization for FESS procedures (functional endoscopic surgery of the sinuses), esophagoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, and a new computerized navigation system for complicated operations.

We also treat hearing problems and perform audiometry and BERA tests for vertigo and balance complaints.
