First Middle East Cardiology Conference in USA

Prof. Amos Katz, Head of the Cardiology Complex participated in the First Middle East Cardiology Conference in USA

.On April 2009 cardiologists from Israel, the Palestinian Authority, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and USA gathered in Indianapolis USA for the First International Cardiovascular Conference focusing on the Middle East. The conference was initiated by the American College of Cardiology, the IU School of Medicine Division of Cardiology, the Heart Rhythm Society and Clarian Health.
This unique event brought together cardiologists and experts from Israel, Arab countries and physicians from other countries in the region to discuss current information, developments, therapies and researches in the field of Cardiology.
The purpose of the conference was to show the world that cardiologists from rival countries can transcend the divisive issues and come together in the spirit of friendship for the benefit of patients.
the Israeli delegates to the conference were Prof. Gad Keren, President of Israel Heart Society and Head of the Cardiology Complex at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center and Prof. Amos Katz,
Head of the Cardiology Complex at Barzilai Medical Center.
