The Cardiology Complex and Cardiac Rehabilitation Institute meet patients

On Tuesday 5/7/2011, under the framework of heart rehabilitation program, Prof. Haim Yosefy Head of the Noninvasive Cardiology Unit, lectured on the issue of "nutritional guidelines for patients of cardiovascular diseases".
Prof. Yosefy explained the the background factors leading to atherosclerosis and mainly focused on damage from smoking and the importance of proper nutrition.
The dietary recommendations were based on the new position paper (April 2011) of the Israel Heart Society, which Prof. Yosefy  was one of the writers.
Before the lecture the participants treated themselves with healthy and diverse dinner sponsored by "Pfizer" and pastry treats provided by Barzilai food complex.
