The staff of the hematology laboratory perform the following blood tests:

• Blood count including microscopic inspection to differentiate the types of the cells, to look for parasites, fetal cells, platelets and levels of clotting factors
• Flow cytometry to define subpopulation of blood cells in cases of hematological diseases
• blood protein electorphoresis, immunoglobulins, immunofixation for specific proteins like Bence Jones, complement
• Hemoglobin electrophoresis for thalassemia and other hemoglobinopathies
• Autoimmune antibodies

♦The laboratory has been afforded the certificate of quality standardization by the 

  Standards Institute of Israel and rewarded the ISO 9001 standard.

♦The laboratory has been qualified by the Ministry of Health for fellowship of laboratory
